Peter Dreesen was the smartest purchasing manager I have ever known. I will always be greatful for the help and opportunities he gave me at SAIC. The entire contracts and procurement community has lost one of our best and brightest. My wife an I wish his family the best. God Bless.

I don't think Pete had any idea of the lasting influence he had on me when I first started at SAIC. He had that gift of teaching without making me feel as though I was being taught, by guiding me in a way that I discovered the answer on my own - and I remember those things to this day - the best kind of learning. That, his unending patience and his sly sense of humor interjected along the way are the things that will stay with me. God bless, we'll miss you.

For those of us that were honored to know such a genuine, friendly and honorable person that Pete was, the luster of our lives will be forever diminished with his passing. One of my regrets of retiring from SAIC 4 years ago was missing the opportunity to face pressing challenges with dedicated and friendly folks. My fondest memory of Pete is that he always met these daily challenges in a manner that was a shining example of how conquering such challenges need not mean that dignity and kindness must be sacrified.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Pete Dreesen
from this life to the ever-after. I met Pete in late1984, when I was
hired to fill a temporary slot at SAIC which became full-time with
his recommendation. Throughout my career, Pete was a good
sounding board and never failed to encourage me. The Dreesen
family is in the forefront my thoughts and prayers for strength
and family togetherness. Thank you for allowing me to share in
remembering Pete.
